Afrobeat has become a global phenomenon—its infectious rhythms keep captivating audiences far beyond the shores of West Africa. For 3D generalist, illustrator, and traditional artist Noah Olayinka Aliu (NOA), this cultural force is more than just a genre; it’s also a deep well of inspiration. He has gone on to recreate some of the biggest “Afrobeat Icons,” in a dynamic showcase of his 3D modeling and animation skill sets, while capturing the essence of the movement’s biggest stars with striking detail and characteristic flair.
Noah’s journey in digital art began with a passion for illustration, which he later expanded into 3D design and animation. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Benin, he gained hands-on industry experience through roles at Orange VFX Studios, and Magic Carpet Studios.
Noah writes, "So decided to make a 3D Teddy @davido 😂🤣😂. I love testing out ideas."
By studying the signature looks and stage presence of each featured musician, he translates their energy into animated 3D characters. As a freelance 3D generalist and multi versatile artist, Noah consistently explores fresh techniques to keep his work both technically sound and artistically engaging.
