Working with ART X Lagos, Niyi Okeowo has created something truly special for their live music and visual art platform. The project, themed "Promised Lands," cleverly weaves together traditional African patterns like "aso-oke" with sleek, modern circuit board designs. If you grew up in Nigeria, you'll instantly recognize the inspiration from those beautiful local mats with their eye-catching geometric patterns - combined with a fresh, futuristic twist.

"The aim was to create a parallel between tech patterns + grid structure and traditional African motifs," Niyi comments

But what makes this project really sing is how it brings those traditional patterns into modern spaces. The designs flow seamlessly through the event's branding, creating an immersive experience that celebrates African creativity in all its forms.
