For creative director, brand strategist, and WDYT Agency founder David Omodi, making recording artists, DJs, and commercial brands attractive to the young market relies on bridging physical stage builds with digital video campaigns. Operating out of Lagos under his agency and personal imprint @wdyt.agency where he engineers cool ideas that connect businesses to young people; he treats visual direction as an active engine for subculture rather than a passive marketing tool. His approach combines industrial spatial design, campaign production, and targeted social media strategy, turning raw brand concepts into tangible cultural moments.

A comprehensive look at his body of work demonstrates a creator who moves fluidly between underground music scenes and large scale commercial advertising. His spatial and stage direction was central to the debut of Traffic Club, where he constructed an industrial, raw stage aesthetic to elevate local alternative sounds. He brings a similar visual ecosystem to Mainland BlockParty's Afro House and Amapiano platform, Purple, driving the art direction and engineering the stage design from scratch, before expanding those immersive visuals to Recess Land in London. Whether directing the high-contrast cover shoot for recording artist Llona in Deeds Magazine or piecing together out-of-the-box promotional video ads for Dj Biosky and Hennessy, David maintains a sharp focus on atmospheric lighting and narrative clarity.

Beyond live performance stages and media covers, his technical versatility shines in end-to-end commercial production and physical retail design. For aviation brand ValueJet, he spearheaded a complete promotional video campaign capturing the entire customer journey from digital booking to flight boarding. His hands-on execution was equally evident during the in-store pop-up experience for TalkingFoot, where he managed everything from campaign video production and social media assets to the spatial creative direction of the physical space. His work on Dope Caesar's Catalyst live mix video further underscores his ability to direct complex visual productions that amplify live audio performances.

The true depth of his practice lies in his commitment to community infrastructure and self-directed youth platforms. Through his creative community initiative KiTB, David actively invests in emerging talent, hosting interactive university pop-ups at Trinity University complete with merchandise drops and practical industry mentorship. He has further solidified this physical footprint by launching Culture 18, a dedicated creative space in Lekki, Lagos designed for collaborative output. By seamlessly uniting agency work, festival stage builds, and grassroots community hubs, David has constructed a self-sustaining creative ecosystem that actively shapes the future of modern African brand culture.
