Irene Yéga Omiunu, known as Yéga, is a British-Nigerian fashion artist and creative consultant. She blends high fashion with fine art through her brand, Studio YÉGA. Her work combines traditional hand-drawing with modern digital techniques, creating illustrations that feel alive and connected to the human form.
Yéga has worked with big names like British Vogue and Vogue Arabia, and even created huge wall illustrations for The Dubai Mall. She’s known for her detailed line work and uses both traditional and digital methods to keep her art full of texture and life.
In 2020, she started Fashion Illustration Africa (FIA) to promote fashion illustration in Africa and help artists gain recognition and professional opportunities. She also runs a mentorship program to support young illustrators of color, helping them build their skills and careers.

Yéga is passionate about African culture and often includes traditional symbols and textile patterns in her work to keep those stories alive in a modern way. Beyond fashion, she writes and illustrates children’s books featuring Black African characters, promoting self-love and cultural pride.
Overall, Yéga’s work celebrates creativity and connection. She splits her time between the UK and Nigeria, drawing inspiration from both places to create art that’s globally relevant but deeply African. She’s turned her passion for drawing into a movement that empowers many creators across Africa.
